Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Mass Effect 3 - Purgatory
I love this game. I hate the ending. I love the music.
Decided I’m gonna post more of my Magic cards.

The Black Mages - Otherworld
I used to be a HUGE Final Fantasy fan. Still kinda am. I love the music especially. But it’s the Black Mages that really blew me away. They took an admittedly cool song from a rather crap game, Final Fantasy X, and made it much more powerful with a female voice.
You know, there are periods of time where I’m oblivious to the fact that I have this blog. Even when I’m on tumblr. I guess I’m just too busy with other things in my life that I forget to poke this little experimental corner of mine.
Peter Frampton - Do You Feel Like We Do?
A true rock anthem. 13 minutes of rock bliss, with a fantastic solo and a very enthusiastic crowd. I love playing this song on Guitar Hero 5.

#6 - Amadeus
The man, the music, the magic, the madness, the murder, the mystery. This movie is filled with wonderful music and brilliant performances, particularly that of the villainous Salieri. It’s not historically accurate, but it tells a powerful story and generates interest in the renowned composer.
Plus it’s just a fun, dramatic film. Well worth the watch.

#5 - Lawrence of Arabia
One of the greatest “epics” of movie history, and a fascinating character study surrounded in a sweeping setting. The performances here are truly Oscar worthy. However, it is a long, long film. It requires quite the investment. Totally worth it, for any history/movie geek, or any fan of drama. Also, the score is iconic and truly fitting.

#4 - Robin Hood: Men in Tights
We go from a straight-faced fantasy adventure with comedy in it, to a wry parody from the brilliant mind of Mel Brooks. Never fails to make me laugh, and every single line is quotable. Also worth noting is a young and hilarious Dave Chappelle.
And no, it’s not the only Mel Brooks film on the list.

#3 - The Princess Bride
This movie was destined to be on the list even before I wrote it. It is so beautifully written and performed. The timing is perfect. The framing story is adorable, and it has so many well known actors in it! As a fan of fantasy stories this one got me right in the heart. And in the funny bone. I didn’t expect it to be nearly as good when I first saw it.
Any fantasy geek knows this movie inside and out.
Dream Evil - The Book of Heavy Metal
I love this song. It’s so funny. And rockin’. It’s that perfect mix of squeedly-meedly metal and chugga-chigga-wugga metal.
Sorry for the hiatus. Depression and sickness hit me in a big way. Now I’m enjoying a four day weekend and I’ve got time. So let’s slap a song and a movie up here.
Every time I have to fill out a job application it gets more and more depressing to go back through my job history over and over and over.

#2: Casablanca
Some films are timeless. Casablanca is one of them. It’s not the geekiest film by any stretch, but it’s important to film lovers, and any lover of romance. Plus it’s got great actors in great roles. Do I need to exalt this academy award winner for best picture any more than it already has been?
